A Full 30% federal tax credit is now available 2009

Up to 12/31/08, the tax credit is capped out at $2000.Starting Jan 1st 2009, there is NO CAP! There is a 30% federal tax credit for individual taxpayers who install "solar and fuel cell equipment" in their homes.

(always advise them to talk to their tax professional, but the 30% credit will soon be un-capped)

A part of the bailout package(Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 dated 10/3/08) recently passed by the U.S. government included a generous solar energy tax credit bill which will dramatically reduce the cost and hasten the payback to homeowners for installing residential solar energy systems.
